🎤 Karaoke Party — Host guide
The singer queue lives in your guests' phones, the karaoke clip and highlighted lyrics run on the big screen, and the room hands out stars.
How it works
Guests join by QR and claim their own songs — the queue builds up in your console.
Open the Big Screen on the TV: clip, lyrics with line highlighting and the queue.
Call singers to the stage, the room gives stars — by the end you get a podium.

One person runs the whole night from a phone: the TV shows everything, and guests claim their own songs.

✨ Create the room
Pick the “Karaoke Party” card, type a nickname and hit create. The 4-character room code is what the TV and your guests need.

⚙️ Set up the night
In the lobby: “Voting, sec” is how long the room hands out stars after a performance. “Lyrics on the Big Screen” and “Lyrics on the singer's phone” decide where the words show (both is fine). “Official karaoke channels only” makes clip search stricter. “Theme” changes the look of the big screen.

📺 Hook up the Big Screen
Press “Big Screen” for the link and QR. On a TV it is easier to open playparty.live/tv and type the room code. On the screen press “Turn on sound”: YouTube only gives audio after a tap. The screen then stays awake mid-song.

👥 Invite the guests
“Invite guests” shows the QR and the room code. A guest scans, types a name, and can queue up straight away. People can also join in the middle of the night.

Hit “Start Game” — the night begins and the singer queue opens.

🎤 How a guest signs up
A guest presses “I want to sing!”, searches for their song by artist and title (or types it by hand) and joins the queue together with that song. In your console this is the “Singer queue”: a name plus the song, or the note “the host will pick a song”. The “To the stage” button brings the person to the mic.

🎬 Clip and lyrics
After “To the stage” the platform looks for a karaoke version on YouTube — that is the “Looking for the karaoke version…” moment. Wrong clip? “Another clip”. Nothing decent at all? “No video” — then you sing to your own backing track and the lyrics run on a timer. “▶ Start” and “⏸ Pause” control playback. If the lines drift, nudge “Lyrics:” by ±0.5 seconds. The TV layout is set in “🎛 Screen”: what to show (player, lyrics on TV, lyrics for the singer, queue and leaders) and the mode “Auto / Fullscreen / Player + lyrics” — it changes instantly and never cuts the song.

⭐ Let the room vote
“End the performance” opens the stars: the room votes 1 to 5 from their phones, and nobody can vote for themselves. You don't have to wait for the timer — “Close voting now”. Points are the average times the number of voters, and that builds the “Tonight's leaders” table. Then hit “Next singer”.

🏁 End the night
“End the night” shows the results and the podium on the big screen. If the crowd wants more, “New night” reopens the stage with the same guests.

🎟 Tickets and limits
Free covers a small crowd of up to 5 guests. Ticket S opens 20 seats, M 50, and L a full room of 150. Buy them from the home page in “Shop”, tab “🎵 HitLoto & Karaoke”, or with “Buy a ticket” right from the room.

Guest guide
Your phone replaces both the remote and the songbook — nothing to install.

Press “I want to sing!” and find your song by artist and title — or type it by hand. You join the queue together with it and see “You are #N in the queue”.

🎬 Your turn
The host presses “To the stage” and your phone lights up with “🎤 You're up!”. The words run on the big screen — and on your phone too if the host enabled it. Changed your mind? “Changed my mind”. Want another song? “Change the song”.

⭐ Give stars
After someone else's performance rate it from 1 to 5 stars. You can't vote for yourself, and you get one vote.

🔌 If you lose connection
Reload the page — the night and your place in the queue are still there.
Common problems
No sound on the TV
Press “Turn on sound” on the Big Screen itself — browsers block autoplay audio. If a performance has no clip, the screen honestly says “Singing without video”: in that case the host plays the music from their own side.
The clip won't play or the backing track is bad
Hit “Another clip” and the platform picks the next karaoke version. Nothing at all? “No video” — the lyrics run on a timer from “▶ Start”. Guests can rate a clip with 👍/👎, which makes the next search smarter.
Song search finds nothing
If you see “Song search is not configured”, paste a direct YouTube karaoke link — it is accepted instead of a search. “You're searching too often” simply means waiting a minute.
The lyrics don't match the music
Nudge the lines with the “Lyrics:” field by ±0.5 seconds — it applies live and never cuts the song. If a song has no synced lyrics at all, the screen shows plain text without line highlighting.
A guest can't get in
Check the 4-character room code and the free seats: “The room already has 150 guests” or hitting the free limit is solved with a bigger 🎟 ticket. The invite is easiest to send with the “Invite guests” button.
