What is AI Voice Party?
AI Voice Party is a voice-only party game where an AI writes the prompts. Every round it deals one fresh challenge from five types: impression, sing, voice line (deliver a line like an actor), tongue twister or story. The card shows the type, the prompt and a difficulty tag — easy, medium or hard. You perform with your voice right in the browser and submit the recording.
It grows out of the oldest game-night bit there is: who can say “Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers” fastest, or nail your old gym teacher. Here nobody has to invent the prompts: the generator writes a new one each round and avoids repeats within a match.
How to play: the rules in five steps
- The host creates a room and hits Start Game. You need at least two participants, and bots count.
- The AI sends everyone the same challenge: type, text and difficulty.
- Each round lasts 60 seconds. Tap Record, perform, tap Stop, listen back and Submit. One answer per round.
- Every submitted answer is worth 10 points. The round closes once every human player has submitted, or when time runs out; the next one starts 5 seconds later.
- A match has 6 rounds. Highest score wins — 60 is the maximum, for performing every single round.
Play online free with friends
Pick AI Voice Party in the catalog and create a room. Send friends the link or the four-character room code (letters and digits). They join from a phone or laptop, type a nickname and land in the lobby — no account, no app download, no cost.
- Microphone. The first time you record, your browser asks for mic permission. If access is blocked, the game shows “No microphone access” — turn it back on in the site settings of your browser.
- Bots. The host can add bots in the lobby to reach the minimum. Bots never perform and score nothing, and the round does not wait for them.
- Who hears you. Recordings are not played back to other players; the Performances list only shows who has submitted. So the game shines in the same living room or on a video call, where everyone hears the performance live.
- Room size. Up to 10 seats. New players cannot join mid-match, but anyone who closes the tab by accident can rejoin their game.
- Rematch. After the final scoreboard, the host starts a fresh six-round match with one tap.
Challenges, language and settings
There are no lobby options: the AI picks the type and difficulty of each prompt at random, and the round count and timer are fixed. Prompts are written in English, so an American group can just read and go. If the generator is briefly unavailable, the game uses built-in backup challenges and the match keeps moving.
Tips for funnier rounds
- Perform out loud for the room, not as a whisper into your phone. The recording earns the points; the laughs come from the live performance.
- Do not wait for the last seconds. Recording, listening back and submitting all take time, and an answer that is not in when the timer hits zero scores nothing.
- Run a tongue twister in your head twice before you hit Record — once submitted, it cannot be redone.
- Add a house rule for quality: after each round, everyone points at the best performance and that player gets a bonus tally on paper.
- Use it as a warm-up. Six rounds take under ten minutes, and afterwards the group is loose enough for karaoke or the team word game Explain!.
