What music bingo is
Music bingo swaps numbered balls for songs. Each player has a card of track numbers; the host plays a clip, the number lights up on screen and whoever has it marks the square. It sits next to trivia night at breweries and bars and works at office parties and weddings, because nobody needs to know every song to win.
HitLoto is our version for a live crowd: the host runs it from a phone, a TV or projector is the big screen, guests play on their phones. Up to 150 people per room.
How a game of HitLoto works
- Every guest gets a unique card (the app calls it a ticket): a 3×3 to 10×10 grid of track numbers that never changes once dealt.
- The host taps “Next track”: a 20, 25 or 30-second clip plays while the big screen shows the number and a countdown.
- Have that number? Tap the square. Marking a track that never played is possible, but it turns red when your card is checked.
- The host reveals the track: artist, title, year and cover art.
- Complete the round’s pattern and hit BINGO. The server checks your card against the tracks played; the host has the final word.
- The classic set is one line (row, column or diagonal), two lines, then full house. The first approved claim in a round earns 10 points, later ones 5.
- The “I know it!” buzzer: the first to buzz answers; naming the track earns +1, +3 or +5 (host’s choice), a miss passes the turn.
Play music bingo online free with friends
The host creates a room and gets a link plus a 4-character code (letters and digits). Guests scan the QR on the big screen or type the code, enter a name, and the card opens in the browser. No sign-up, no app, and the host doesn’t need an account either.
- Big screen: on a smart TV browser go to playparty.live/tv and enter the code. It shows the join QR, number, countdown and reveal, and any claimed card full-screen with right marks green and wrong ones red, plus the leaderboard and a final podium.
- Sound plays from the big screen or the host’s phone, or on every guest’s phone for a video-call game.
- No bots: it is a game for real people. The host can open the room alone; latecomers get a card on the spot, and a phone that died just reloads with every mark intact.
- “New game” deals fresh cards in the same room.
Music, packs and what’s free
Tracks come from a YouTube playlist link, a plain list of “Artist — Title” lines, or ready-made packs: Demo Hits, 24 global hits from ABBA to Harry Styles, and free starter packs such as ’80s & ’90s hits. Theme mix blends 2 to 6 packs evenly. If a live DJ or wedding band plays the music, a text list still gives you the cards.

Only the host pays; guests always play free. A pass covers one night in one room, bingo plus karaoke, for up to 12 hours. Premium does not include HitLoto; weekly bar nights fit the monthly Venue plan.
Host settings
- Rounds: the line → two lines → full house preset, or one pattern: four corners, X, T, L, first 5 or full house.
- Free centre ★ on odd grids.
- Hidden track: audio only until the reveal, so a video title can’t spoil the song.
- Guest names or card numbers only on screen; themes like wedding, corporate and vinyl.
Tips for hosts
- Load plenty of tracks: the floor is squares × 1.6 (26 for 4×4), twice the squares is comfortable, or half the room yells BINGO at once.
- Hit “Check tracks” before guests arrive to swap dead videos for previews.
- Tap “Turn on sound” once on the TV itself: browsers block audio until someone clicks there.
